Hugo_Martins_OiOi Brazil has collaborated with WeDo Technologies on the development of its Revenue Assurance (RA) activities since 2002. During this time, we have worked together to learn the best answers and outcomes to key the operational issues facing the Telecom industry.

Indeed, RA has a collaborative nature, and we find that the best way to exercise and ensure this valuable experience exchange is at events like the WeDo Worldwide User Group. It is the one time that we can see and discuss the problems that other players undergo, and learn about how they were solved; always exchanging best practices.

It's a very rich experience, especially when joined by companies operating in markets with economic as well as different technological and regulatory challenges. After all, the industry has similar characteristics globally and, in most cases, models can be successfully replicated; enabling the growth of the entire industry and generating a positive effect for our customers and our margins.

In 2015, Oi Brazil will once again attend the WWUG, presenting the opportunities that we have identified during our E-CDR project, built in partnership with WeDo. Based on the analysis of the differences between the billing tickets and interconnection expenses tickets (fixed operations) resulting in additional traffic revenues, it was designed to handle the challenges of the amount of information made available through big data, the validation of IT rules and the associated operating models to recover losses. Another challenge to overcome together!

With this implementation we achieved our best solution yet to the problems of revenue losses associated with traffic. As a result we are expanding these kind of controls to mobile operations for local and long distance calls and data – as well as returning to the WWUG in May with the main purpose of exchanging best practices on exactly this.
